This includes the Trail and the U.S. Army Military History Institute. This is the nation’s preeminent historical institution for telling the story of America’s Army though the stories of the men and women who served in it. Located in Ridgway Hall at AHEC, the education center is the Army’s preeminent research facility. Their collection numbers over 14 million items, and their photo archives include the largest collection of Civil War photos in the world.
An interactive interpretive center and archives focused on "telling the Army story...one Soldier at a time." The center features museum exhibits and The Army Heritage Trail.

37,000 square foot expansion to include: additional exhibit and interpretive gallery, multipurpose rooms, museum store and cafeteria.
Army Heritage Trail
A one-mile outdoor trail accented by a Cobra helicopter, Sherman tank and encompassing outdoor exhibits from the French & Indian War through the present.

Hours:The trail is open 24/7; exhibits on the trail are open Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.

Monday- Saturday: 9am - 4:45pm
Sunday: Closed
Visitor and Education Center
Tuesday- Saturday: 9am - 5pm
Sunday: 1100am - 5pm
Monday: Closed
The USAHEC (both Ridgeway Hall plus the Visitor and Education Center) will be open for the following Federal Holidays from 9am - 5pm: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Veteran's Day. The USAHEC will be closed for all other Federal holidays.
