The home is located only six blocks from the downtown square of historical Carlisle. Enjoy walks in the downtown area admiring the old architecture of days gone by. Carlisle is known for its heritage dating back to 1750. Both George Washington and Benjamin Franklin visited the area. Part of Carlisle's heritage includes the Indian School that Jim Thorpe attended. Carlisle is home to Dickenson College, Dickenson School of Law and the Army War College. Carlisle is also the site of multiple car shows during the summer months. The car shows are located approximately 20 blocks from the property with sidewalks available for that entire walk.

Carlisle is conveniently located in close proximity to many sites and activities. Gettysburg is about a 30 minute drive through very scenic countryside. Hershey Park is about a 30 minute drive. Baltimore, Maryland (80 miles); Washington DC and Annapolis, Maryland are within 120 miles of Carlisle making each of these destinations great for day trips. New York City is approximately 160 miles away making it a potential day trip as well. It is possible to drive to NYC and take in a afternoon matinée of a Broadway play and return all in the same day.
