Housed in a two-story barracks built in 1941, the Pennsylvania National Guard Military Museum provides a permanent and living memorial to the thousands of Pennsylvanians who served and the many who gave their lives in defense of freedom, our state and our nation from the Civil War to present. Exhibits showcase items and weapons from the Civil War to the Gulf War, as well as items that depict the history of the Pennsylvania National Guard and Fort Indiantown Gap.

  • Directions: From Interstate 81, take exit 85 toward Fort Indiantown Gap. Travel north on Route 934 to the one and only traffic light on post. At the light, turn right onto Service Road. Travel a quarter mile to the first four way intersection. At that intersection, you will see a Civil War cannon and an M46 Patton Tank. The Museum is in building T-8-57.
  • Notes: The first floor of the museum is handicapped accessible. However, the second floor and the library research room are accessible only via stairs.
