Cumberland Valley, PA (June 19, 2013) - Theater-goers now have the ability to purchase show tickets online to Allenberry Playhouse's upcoming productions of Annie and Hairspray. Allenberry Resort Inn & Playhouse has partnered with the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau (CVVB) to offer the first ever, online ticketing available for purchase on reservations.visitcumberlandvalley.com.

Starting June 13, 2013, customers looking to purchase tickets to Annie (running July 10 - August 11, 2013) and Hairspray (running August 14 - September 8, 2013) will be able to buy online through the CVVB's website. As consumers make more and more transactions online, traditional businesses need to find ways to stay relevant and in front of changing demographics. "The CVVB recognizes the value of providing support to partners that work to broaden their tourism audience base. The CVVB is pleased to be a part in growing a new audience and providing an enhanced level of customer service," said Dawn Rickenbach, CVVB Sales Manager.

The online tickets will be exactly the same price they would be if a customer purchased them from Allenberry's box office. The prices posted online include tax and no service fee, and will offer the best available seats at the time of booking. "We are always looking for new and better ways to suit our customers' needs. Through this partnership we can show visitors all the great things this area has to offer that might be off the beaten path," said Daniel Yocum, Allenberry Director of Food & Beverage.

Allenberry will gain business and exposure through prompts to add theater tickets when visitors are booking hotel rooms on the online booking engine. The CVVB has also created a package deal that includes tickets to Allenberry's shows and overnight accommodations at various Cumberland Valley properties. "This cross-promotion of attractions and overnight stays will allow visitors to see a value in spending more time in the Valley and ultimately generate more sales to benefit our economy," said Valerie Copenhaver, CVVB Marketing & Brand Manager.

The CVVB will continue to seek out new ways to expand the products that can be offered to visitors and businesses in Cumberland Valley. If your business is interested in discussing ticketing options through the CVVB, please contact Dawn Rickenbach at 717-240-7191 or dawn@visitcumberlandvalley.com.

The mission of the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau is to promote Cumberland Valley as a tourist destination, attract visitors to the area, enhance the visitor's experience, and to encourage and promote overnight stays.
