Looking for the perfect gift for your Valentine's Day sweetheart? Join us at a Trunk Show held at History on High - The Shop and meet jewelry artist Bessie Jamieson. Her jewelry is contemporary, yet rooted in the past. Bessie, a Carlisle native, draws on ancient, classical, Byzantine and medieval jewelry to inspire her own designs. The trunk show consists of unique hand-made necklaces, earrings, bracelets, chains and pendants individually created by hand.

She was an apprentice to Robert Kulicke at the Kulicke-Stark Academy of Jewelry in New York. Jamieson is the former owner/director of the Jewelry Arts Institute in New York where she taught traditional techniques of classical jewelry. Her work has been exhibited annually at Davis & Langdale Company since 1975.

History on High has a variety of gifts, art and merchandise, for all ages and tastes. The Shop is located at 33 West High Street in Carlisle, across from the theatre.
