Cumberland Valley, PA (February 10, 2017) – The Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau (CVVB), the destination marketing arm of Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation (CAEDC), announced the results of a year's worth of voting for Best in the Valley.

BEST IN THE VALLEY WINNERS:

Best Attraction: U.S. Army Heritage & Education Center

Best Shop: American Artisan Gallery

Best Restaurant: Boiling Springs Tavern

Best Lodging: Carlisle House B&B

Best Outdoor: Kings Gap Environmental Education Center

Best Night Out: Alibis Eatery & Spirits

Best Event: Foundry Day Arts & Crafts Festival

Winners receive a variety of promotion through CAEDC including recognition in newsletters and social media. They also receive a two-page spread in Susquehanna Style Magazine.

NEW BEST IN THE VALLEY PROGRAM:

For the 2017 voting period, CAEDC has unveiled a new program that will increase participation and allow more businesses in Cumberland Valley the chance to win "Best in the Valley" recognition.

Each month there will be a new poll to help uncover a Best in the Valley winner. Voting is available on Facebook, Twitter and VisitCumberlandValley.com. The category for January was Best Jewelry in the Valley and the winner was the greatest gift in Carlisle. Voting is currently going on for Best Burger in the Valley. 

The voting period is the 1st through the 15th of each month. The winner of each poll will be announced in the following month’s newsletter, receive social media promotion and will be recognized on VisitCumberlandValley.com.

Partners are encouraged to ask for votes for relevant topics. Ideas include promotion of that month’s poll on twitter, Facebook, website or eNewsletter with a hyperlink to the poll.
