CARLISLE, PA (August 18, 2010) - Join us at History on High - The Shop located at 33 West High Street in Carlisle for a book signing featuring Joseph Cress, author of Murder and Mayhem in Cumberland County. The September 3rd signing at History on High, in conjunction with First Friday, will be from 4-8 p.m. On Saturday, September 4, Joe will be signing his book at the McLain Celtic Festival, located at the Two Mile House, 1189 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Local author Joseph David Cress explores the dark side of history, from little known cases such as that of Sarah Clark--who became the first woman hanged in the county after she poisoned a family to dispatch a romantic rival--to high profile crimes like the shocking 1955 courtroom slaying that left one person dead and three injured.
