CARLISLE, PA (April 1, 2013) - Cumberland Area Economic Development Corp., parent company of the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau and Cumberland County Economic Development today announces that Terri Martini has joined the company as the new Business Development Manager. Martini will be responsible for the business development efforts of CAEDC to include; business attraction/retention, community development, and business financing.
Martini previously worked at Silver Spring Township as Assistant Township Manager for more than five years. Prior to that, she worked for the City of Harrisburg as the Department Director of Building and Housing Development for 18 years, where she worked on several large community and economic development projects. Prior to the City of Harrisburg, Martini worked as a Grants Analyst, Business Development Director, and Criminal Justice Planner in Portsmouth, VA for over 14 years, where she created a Certified Development Corporation (CDC), processed SBA loans, and created a permanent public-private sector partnership to enhance the local economy. Martini has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology/Criminology from Portland State University, as well as obtaining a certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional.
