CAEDC plans to open a satellite office at the West Shore Chamber of Commerce.
Carlisle, PA (September 27, 2012) - Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation (CAEDC) is pleased to announce a satellite office location in Camp Hill. Beginning November 2012, CAEDC will open an office space in partnership with the West Shore Chamber of Commerce at the chamber building, 4211 Trindle Road, Camp Hill.
This satellite office will also allow CAEDC staff members the opportunity to offer loan programs to local businesses in these communities and this partnership will increase the opportunity to refer loans in-house.
"Working with the four Cumberland County Chambers of Commerce is just one of the ways CAEDC encourages partnerships, and ensures that we are effectively covering the needs within the county," said Jonathan Bowser, Director of Economic Development. "Some 65-70% of small businesses are located in the eastern part of Cumberland County, so this will make it easier to supply much-needed capital into our local economy."
"Having CAEDC at our office will allow our local businesses easier access to CAEDC and allow us as a Chamber to more effectively promote and facilitate business for the community. We are pleased with this addition to our location and excited about the expansion of this great partnership. CAEDC aligns with our vision to advance member success and exemplify strong business performance," said George Book, Jr., West Shore Chamber Interim President & CEO.
The office will also provide increased visibility and convenience for CAEDC clients. This visibility on the West Shore will allow CAEDC to offer assistance to businesses seeking state funding through an Area Lending Organization (ALO). CAEDC was certified as an ALO in 2010 and provides state financing to businesses. In addition, CAEDC is the administrative arm of the Cumberland County Industrial Development Authority, the entity a business must apply through to access programs like Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program Grants or tax exempt financing.
Since inception, CAEDC has invested almost $86 Million into Cumberland County businesses and leveraged $199 Million.
