Over 100 Journalists & Destination Marketing Organizations will Visit for Three-Day Event
Cumberland Valley, PA (September 22, 2014) - The Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau (CVVB), the designated tourism promotion agency for Cumberland Valley Pennsylvania, has been selected to host the 2014 Mid-Atlantic Public Relations Alliance (MATPRA) Media Marketplace.
MATPRA is a cohesive unit of regional tourism marketing and public relations professionals encompassing Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington D.C. and West Virginia. Together, the members of MATPRA serve travel journalists by offering resources that ignore geographic boundaries, as do travelers. Each year, MATPRA hosts a Media Marketplace where journalists and MATPRA members come together to discuss story ideas and experience the host destination.
MATPRA will be held in Cumberland Valley on October 1-3, 2014. Tours will be offered to attendees throughout the conference allowing them to experience Cumberland Valley and will showcase our collection of outdoor recreation, military history, car shows, culinary attractions, unique shopping and charming downtowns. "We are excited to welcome these journalists and tourism professionals to Cumberland Valley this October," said Kristen Rowe, CVVB Communications Manager. "As they tour throughout our region they will be collecting story ideas and we are looking forward to all of the PR opportunities this will bring our destination that will inspire travel to the Valley, along with the added overnight rooms."
