CARLISLE, PA (August 5, 2008) - Wouldn't it be great if saving the environment meant saving money as well? Good news: It is easy being green with the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau!
The organization unleashes today a list of things to do to minimize harm and help to heal the Earth.
Living the green way of life doesn't have to cost extra. It does, however, involve added planning and thoughtfulness to your everyday routine. A little change goes a long way to see long term results in our environment. At the CVVB, a majority of our staff uses laptop computers, cutting three quarters off our electrical use. Our pens, stationary, marketing collateral and business cards are all printed on post-consumer recycled paper with soy or water based ink. Recycling is another way we show our love for Mother Nature. Join us in our quest to save the Earth by taking steps to be more green.

The mission of the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau is to improve awareness of, and visitation to, our county as a tourist destination. We will accomplish this by promoting our county-wide attractions and assets to a diversified, mid-Atlantic-based target market. We will meet or exceed visitor expectations by providing comprehensive tourism information and service-driven assistance, with the goal of increasing initial visitation, repeat visitation and overnight visitation.
