CARLISLE, PA (August 23, 2010) - Corvettes at Carlisle, the world's largest and most prestigious event celebrating Corvettes will once again celebrate the American dream of owning a Corvette, August 27-29th at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

The theme of the 2010 Corvettes at Carlisle event will be a celebration of America through Corvettes. Corvettes at Carlisle will highlight the uniquely American sports car with two special displays: The Corvette American Flag Tribute and Chip's Choice featuring patriotic-themed Corvettes. Corvettes at Carlisle will also include a Corvette parade through historic downtown Carlisle, a Z06 Corvette giveaway and activities for the entire family.

Corvettes at Carlisle will create an American Flag made entirely of Corvettes as a tribute to both the dream and the sports car. This display was first produced in 2008 as the brain child of Lance Miller, Event Manager for Corvettes at Carlisle and Partner of Carlisle Events. Miller has plans to make the Corvette American Flag Display even bigger and better in terms of amount of cars and the layout in 2010 - 51 Corvettes bigger, for a total of 153 Corvettes. Proceeds from the registration fee for all of the 153 Corvettes participating will be donated to Homes for Our Troops, a national non-profit organization committed to helping those who have selflessly given to their country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries.

Chip's Choice is a special invitation-only display that highlights one aspect of the Corvette hobby. This year's Patriotic Corvettes theme will showcase Corvettes that represent the "America" in the Corvette nickname, America's Sports Car, in every way. One very famous and recognizable Corvette that will be a part of the 2010 display is a 1965 Corvette roadster. This particular '65 was painted as an American flag for the movie Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999 - New Line Cinema). Other patriotic Corvettes that will be featured in the Chip's Choice display include the ‘100 Years of Scouting' Corvette, a 2004 Indy 500 Festival Car and a Vietnam War memorial 1989 coupe.

On Sunday of Corvettes at Carlisle, a 2003 50th Anniversary Corvette Z06 will be given away to one lucky attendee. Torch Red with white striping, the giveaway Corvette Z06 presented by ProTeam Corvette and Carlisle Events celebrates the patriotic theme of this year's Corvettes at Carlisle. With less than 30,000 miles on the odometer and the high-performance LS6 engine (405 horsepower), this is a Corvette that would be a dream to drive home!

The weekend will also be filled with activities for the entire Corvette family with Kids at Carlisle and Women's Oasis activities happening throughout the weekend. This year's Women's Oasis will include cooking demonstrations from the Kitchen Shoppe Inc. of Carlisle, a free shuttle to downtown Carlisle and wine tasting from Brookmere Winery in Belleville, PA.

In addition to special displays and a who's who list of special guests from the Corvette world, Corvettes at Carlisle will feature a huge swap meet with a wide variety of vendors; an all-Corvette car corral; Manufacturers Midway - featuring top names in restoration, aftermarket, custom and performance manufacturers; 1960 Corvette reunion; autocross racing - sponsored by the Cumberland County Corvette Club; Chip Miller Charitable Foundation Silent Auction and NCRS Gallery X.
