CARLISLE, PA (December 1, 2010) - The Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau (CVVB) has been collecting votes throughout 2010 for the best spot to eat, shop and thing to see and do. Voters could text in their favorite or vote on the CVVB's Web site. The launch of this new campaign began in January 2010 and ran through October 4, 2010.

At the CVVB's Tourism Conference on November 16, 2010 the winners of each category were announced and recognized. The winners are:

Eat: 50's Malt Shoppe - 110 S. Hanover St., Carlisle

The 50's Malt Shoppe is a nostalgic restaurant featuring checkered floors, teal walls, a juke box and great hotdogs and hamburgers.

Shop: The Village Artisans Gallery - 321 Walnut St., Boiling Springs

The Village Artisans Gallery offers distinct works-of-art and crafts made mostly by Pennsylvania artists.

See & Do: Climbnasium - 339 N. Locust Point Rd., Mechanicsburg

Climbnasium is an indoor rock climbing facility, with bouldering areas and toprope climbs.

The winner of each category will receive an ad upgrade in the 2012 Cumberland Valley Visitors Guide. The winner and the 5 runner-ups will also receive special recognition as one of the "Valley's Best" in the 2011 visitors guide. The winners also received window clings to hang in their establishment recognizing them as a Best of the Valley winner.
