Summer might be the best time to enjoy scoops and scoops of ice cream, but it’s really a year-round favorite. Whether it’s soft serve, Italian Gelato, custard, traditional ice cream, or even frozen yogurt, everybody has their favorite place for a frozen treat. In June, we surveyed our Facebook fans to determine where was the “Best Ice Cream Spot in the Cumberland Valley” and after hundreds of votes came in, we have a winner.

The Best Ice Cream in the Cumberland Valley is…Leo’s Handmade Ice Cream.

Leo's owner, Tom Leo crafted his ice cream at his family's dairy farm and later at Penn State University. He first opened Leo's in 2003 in Boiling Springs, and in 2014, moved to West High Street in Carlisle. Leo's offers 98 ice cream possibilities, including some classics like Mint Chocolate Chip and Raspberry, but also unique flavors like Egg Nog, Pumpkin Marshmallow, Cranberry Walnut, and Peanut Butter & Jelly. If you can't get enough Leo's, be sure to pick-up a to-go pint for your summer vacations or for the nights you want to stay in.

Leo's is loved so much, in 2013 they were ranked on TripAdvisor's "10 Great American Ice Cream Shops" throughout the country! Stop in all year round to see why Leo's is such a staple in the Cumberland Valley, and try one of their many delicious flavors.
