March is National Craft Month and if you are artsy and/or enjoy all things homemade there are tons of ways to celebrate this festive month in Cumberland Valley PA.

The Village Artisans Gallery in Boiling Springs is a great place to start. This gallery and shop, located in a historic church, features all PA artists and artisans. Throughout the upcoming months you can attend an "Artist in Action" event where you can watch art and crafts come to life.

2nd Floor Gallery in Mechanicsburg is another great spot to find local and regional artwork and creations. This gallery, also located in an old church, has been voted Harrisburg Magazine Simply the Best Winner in 2012. One Saturday a month they offer "Gallery Saturday" Wine & Cheese Art Receptions. The best part...these events are free!

Meadowbrooke Gourds in Carlisle is another fun place to celebrate crafts. This is the largest gourd-crafting company in the world and they grow, clean and turn gourds into works-of-art. Shop around for one of their creations or get a group together and make a party reservation to create something of your own!

Ashcombe Farm & Greenhouses in Mechanicsburg is a hotspot for plants, crafts, baked goods, gifts, gourmet foods and garden supplies. The next two weekends are their Spring Open Houses. These special events include craft classes for children and seminars that will help you turn your garden into a living work of art.

You can discover even more ways to enjoy National Craft Month by browsing these Made in Cumberland Valley locations, following the Ultimate Collectible Trip Idea or by crafting your Artisan Adventure! How will you choose to celebrate?
