Everyone starts the New Year with big plans and even bigger goals for the year ahead. I view the following four resolutions as some of the most common and there are places all over the Cumberland Valley that can help you stick to a resolution in 2010!
1. Get into Shape - Skip the crowded gym and try something new this year to shed the holiday pounds. Learn how to rock climb at Climbnasium, take a winter hike with Kings Gap or challenge yourself with cross-country skiing at Pine Grove Furnace State Park.
2. Eat Healthier - I would love to make the resolution to give up eating out all together... but that's not going to happen. HOWEVER, if your News Years Resolution includes eating healthier here is a list of great restaurants in the Cumberland Valley that offer locally grown and "green" menu options: Arooga's Grille House & Sports Bar and Café Bruges.
3. Reduce Your Stress - I think we all could use a stress free 2010, while it may not be completely possible there are a few ways to relax and reenergize this year. Pamper yourself at one of the Valley's great spas, get a much needed foot massage at Heel Your Sole or find your inner peace at the Barefoot Yoga & Wellness Studio.
4. Learn Something New - If like many, you would like to try something different and meet new people this year there are loads of opportunities in the Valley. Take a unique cooking class at The Kitchen Shoppe, get crafty with a hands-on gourd project at Meadowbrooke Gourds or finally tackle your flower garden with great tips and tricks from a workshop at Ashcombe Farm & Greenhouses.
Have a happy and fun-filled 2010 in the Cumberland Valley! If you need a little help getting here go to our Win a Getaway page for a chance to win a FREE getaway!
