My friends were up visiting for my birthday last night and we must have been feeling adventurous because we decided to try Ye Olde Ale House on the Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg for dinner. I am happy to say that it was a great decision and I could not have been more surprised. First of all they have an outdoor patio area (I give bonus points to restaurants that give me the option to eat outside).
Thursday night is half-off appetizer night which led to us ordering jalapeno poppers and a crab quesadilla. Here is a picture of the jalapeno poppers and they were unlike any kind I have ever had. They had a really good creamy cheese center and the quesadilla had tons of crab meat in it. You think I would be full but somehow I managed to eat most of the Texas BBQ burger I ordered which came on a toasted garlic & parmesan roll with a side of fries that reminded me of the really good ones you can get at the fair. I had to include a picture of that too for you to see! On top of the great food our server was so friendly and attentive despite the busy patio area. Has anyone else had a great experience there?
