Earth Day has been observed since 1970 and is celebrated annually on April 22. It is a day dedicated to raising awareness about environmental issues and encouraging individuals to promote sustainability and protect the earth's natural resources. The theme of Earth Day 2024 is "Planet vs. Plastics," which advocates for widespread awareness regarding the health risks of plastics, calls to phase out single-use plastics rapidly, and pushes for a strong UN Treaty on Plastic Pollution. Earth Day supports a sustainable future, builds happy and healthy communities worldwide, and contributes to a healthy economy.
