At one time the perception of golf was that it was mostly enjoyed by older gentleman in South Carolina or Florida. However, the influx of courses in the Cumberland Valley have made it a very popular destination for those looking to tee-off. One course is a hole-in-one for everyone.
Driving down 1-81 in Mechanicsburg it is hard not to notice the beautiful green grass and scenic golf course known as Rich Valley Golf. Rich Valley has something for everyone, including an 18-hole course, a beginner's 3-hole course, and even a mini-golf course. In addition to the golf is Nolo's Bar & Restaurant. All skill levels and all ages are welcome to enjoy Rich Valley.
The golf game can sometimes be challenging or intimidating to new players. It may be hard to find an opportunity to get your feet wet. Rich Valley offers a Beginner's Course designed to help those who are new to the game or haven't played for a long time. The three-hole course is designed with different tee boxes, allowing you to play up to 9 holes. There is also a driving range available to practice your swing and opportunities to attend designated clinics with a pro to better craft your skill.
After you've trained and prepared to be the next Tiger Woods, it's time to hit the 18-Hole, Par 71 Championship Course. Test your game on the bent grass course all year round (weather permitting). If the 18-Hole Championship Course is a little too advanced or you've got the whole family, Rich Valley recently added a Mini-Golf course. The 18-Hole miniature course offers a fun family experience and is open 7-days a week. Rich Valley is also one of the only handicapped accessible mini-golf courses in the area.
After you've completed the course that fits you best it's time to enjoy some great food at Nolo's Bar & Restaurant. Nolo's has a better than par selection of salads, sandwiches, burgers, and wings, with a variety of beer of tap. Nolo's also hosts banquet events, like reunions, birthdays, and weddings.
