The Healthy Grocer in Camp Hill certainly lives up to its slogan to make healthy easy. They have a wide selection of high-quality, all-natural and organic alternatives including produce and groceries, nutritional and herbal supplements, personal care products, household cleaners, and on-the-go drinks and snacks. The store also has a sandwich and juice bar as well as a baked goods section. The selections can be a little bit overwhelming but the staff answered my questions and was able to make recommendations.
A little closer to home for me, I also shop at Appalachian Whole Foods in Carlisle. They have a small grocery/dairy/produce section at the front of the store, plus a nice selection of herbal
supplements, vitamins and essential oils. Toward the back of the store, there is a bulk foods section plus loose teas, herbs and spices, and coffee beans.
Am I eating healthier? Well, my favorite purchase in both locations is Chocolove’s Almonds & Sea Salt in Dark Chocolate bar, which may not be the healthiest choice but is definitely the yummiest! Some habits are hard to break.
