1. 2016 Army Heritage Days

HD is the USAHEC's popular timeline living history event covering Soldier history from the 16th century to the present. While AHD examines nearly every era of U.S. Army History, this year's event will highlight the Vietnam War era with more re-enactors, well-known Veterans relating their experiences in Vietnam, one of the first helicopters in l-z x-ray, and other events specifically for that time period. There will even be a special display of national importance that we will reveal as we get closer to the event days! As always, this weekend-long event features re-enactors from all different time periods, lectures by well-known historians, military equipment displays, tactics and weapons demonstrations, and a meet and greet session with Army veterans. This family-friendly event will have many children's activities including 18th century games and the AHD passport program. Check back for updates as we begin to reveal our special display via social media. Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter via the #countdowntoAHD as we release more information about our special display and guests. The event is free and open to the public. As always, the USAHEC's exhibits will be open. Don't forget to grab lunch at one of the many food vendors throughout the event, and feel free to browse the museum store. Parking is also free, and the USAHEC facility is handicapped accessible.
