I recently had the opportunity to taste-test some new lunch offerings at the Holly Inn. The meal started with a Spinach Artichoke Crab Dip with grilled Whole Wheat Pita. The crab was a nice added touch and the whole wheat pita was fresh. The second course was BBQ Chicken Sliders with pepperjack cheese, carmelized onions and chipotle mayo. Absolutely delicious!! This was my favorite part of the meal. The chicken was tender and the sliders had just a slight hint of spiciness.
The third course was a Southwestern Salad with romaine, queso fresco, corn, black beans, onion, and tomato garnished with tortilla chips and tossed in a cilantro-lime vinaigrette. The salad was refreshing and light. Definitely perfect for summertime. The fourth course was Linguine with Homemade Hearty Meat Sauce followed by dessert. The dessert did not disappoint. The house-made eclair roll-ups and creme brulee tasted incredible. The eclairs were light and fluffy and drizzled with chocolate. By this time, I was very full and only had a small bit of the creme brulee, but it will definitely be a dessert that I order next time I am at the Holly Inn for lunch. Overall, the food was fantastic and I'm looking forward to my next visit.
