I think the restaurant on York Road in Carlisle finally found something that will stick around. Momma Spriggs opened a few weeks ago in the renovated restaurant that sits next to the Olde Susquehanna House. It was great to see the new design that has a much more contemporary feel. They painted, put in new booths, hung new artwork and added stone around the open bar area. I'm happy to report that the food, like the new decor, is great.
Ashley and I split the bubbly cheese bread appetizer that included tomatoes, bacon and ranch dressing, so yummy! Then as usual and by accident, we ordered the same sandwich. It was a really good focaccia bread with turkey, Gruyere cheese, spinach, pesto and peppers. It came with a side of their homemade potato chips. We will definitely be headed back to this spot and I'm hoping they are around for awhile.
