This past weekend I was desperately trying to find food, which is the most common college student mission, when I decided to head over to the (North) Hanover Grille. As blatantly stated in the name, the Hanover Grille is located on (North) Hanover Street. I have actually gone to Hanover Street multiple times in the past, and I have yet to be disappointed.
The restaurant is definitely a popular haunt for Dickinson students as well as local Carlislians. The menu is extensive, with a lot of American pub food items, the most popular being the chicken wings. In fact, every Tuesday is Wing Night with flavors that include "Hot, Mild, Extra Hot, Insanity, Sweet & Tangy, Sweet & Sour, Sweet & Sour Teryaki, Teryaki Hot, BBQ, Hickory BBQ, Honey BBQ, Old Bay, Garlic, Garlic Parmesan, Hot Garlic, Mild Garlic, Greek, Bourbon Hot, Bourbon Honey BBQ, Bourbon Sweet and Sour, Lemon Pepper, Cajun Hot". I know that Dickinson students have a challenge to see if you can eat 1 Insanity wing without anything but 1 glass of water. It apparently is an impossible challenge.
For my meal, I had an order of Potato Skins (Hanover Style with bacon as opposed to Texas style with Chili) and a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap. Both were fantastic! And the best part? Hanover Street does TAKE OUT! A COLLEGE STUDENT'S DREAM FULFILLED! So stop by and give their menu a try. I promise you won't be disappointed.
