On May 11, 2019, The Kitchen Shoppe will hold a 45th anniversary celebration and you won’t want to miss out on this fun event. The day is sure to please long-time fans of The Kitchen Shoppe and give newcomers a taste of all this local gourmet superstore has to offer.
From 10 am to 3:30 pm, The Kitchen Shoppe will offer 12 mini-cooking demonstrations, each lasting approximately 30 minutes, presented by Chef James Lupia, Grilling EGGspert Dan Hoffman, and Instructor Grayson Bowman. The classes cover wide-ranging menu items -- from baked French toast to grilled shrimp alfredo to chipotle raspberry pork with pear salsa – and give you a “taste” of the more than 200 cooking classes offered by The Kitchen Shoppe each year. There is a $5 pre-registration fee for each demo. That amount is credited toward any purchase on the day of the event. Click here to sign up for a class.
In addition to the mini-classes, guests can enjoy specials and promotions throughout the store, which offers over 20,000 items for all your cooking and kitchen needs. It’s the perfect opportunity to treat yourself to that special gadget you’ve been wanting or to purchase a practical gift. Even better, for every $25 you spend, you’ll receive a ticket to enter the grand prize of a private cooking class for eight with one of The Kitchen Shoppe’s in-house instructors. The class will include six menu items with a wine pairing. The value of this fantastic giveaway is $650. You must be present at the time of the drawing (approximately 3:30 pm) to win so plan your day accordingly.
After your shopping and cooking extravaganza ends at 4:00 pm, head to historic downtown Carlisle and end the day with dinner at one of the many local restaurants or handcrafted beers at some of the locations along the Cumberland Valley Beer Trail.
