NOTE: If you plan to shop local in downtown Carlisle, the Borough recently approved two weeks of free parking. From December 2 to 6 and December 23 to 27, you don't need to feed the meters. And remember, parking is always free on Saturdays and Sundays.

2. Meredith Willson's Miracle on 34th Street The Musical
A holiday classic from the writer of the musical theatre classic, The Music Man!, and based on the movie of the same name, Miracle on 34th Street features a book and score by none other than Meredith Willson. The family-friendly show is suitable for all ages.

3. Children's Lake Christmas Ceremony
A staple event in Boiling Springs. Enjoy live music before watching the lake tree lighting ceremony and Santa crossing the lake to visit with the kids. Stay and sit on Santa's lap or just hang out and enjoy the beautiful lake, lights, and music.

4. Holiday Open House at the Mansion
Enjoy this once-a-year opportunity to explore the Cameron-Masland Mansion, a gracious mountain stone villa built in 1908 as a summer home. Take a self-guided tour of both floors of the mansion in seasonal decor. Music of the season will be provided by Celtic harpist Patricia Putz on December 1 and Joanna Roberts playing cello on December 8. Light refreshments will be offered throughout the afternoon each day.

5. Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis
Chip Davis, founder and creator of Mannheim Steamroller, will celebrate the 35th Anniversary of his annual Christmas concert tour, making it the longest-running consecutive concert tour in the entertainment industry!
6. A Candlelight Christmas

7. Christkindlmarkt @ Dill's Tavern

9. Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Presents George Balanchine's The Nutcracker®
A Holiday Tradition for the Whole Family! George Balanchine's The Nutcracker® will have your heart bursting with cheer in this holiday tradition for the whole family! The brilliant dancers of Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet bring Balanchine's winter classic to life with larger-than-life sets and dazzling costumes set to the magical music of Tchaikovsky. Performances will also be held at Hershey Theatre on December 21 & 22.
10. Amani DoveFest
Amani gives plain wooden doves to local businesses and non-profits to design & decorate. Look for our doves around downtown Carlisle during Destination Carlisle's Holiday Window Decorating Contest from Nov 30 to Dec 12. The doves represent peace being spread all over our beloved town! The doves then fly over to DoveFest where there will be a silent auction, bake sale, and more. You can win your favorite dove display by placing bids! A perfect holiday gift. There will also be "Spare Change" voting. Proceeds raised will benefit Warm the Children.

11. Mechanicsburg's New Year's Eve Wrench Drop
The galvanized steel wrench commemorates the borough's founders — mechanics who settled in the area to make and repair wagons that were traveling west after crossing the Susquehanna River in the early 19th century. The town celebrates the New Year with the annual drop of a wrench. This family-friendly event includes food trucks, live music, and a silent auction.
