2. Burd Fest 2020

Burd's Nest Brewing Company is proud to announce the lineup for the first BURD FEST, a two-day music event that brings people together in an effort to make a difference and do some good. Enjoy performances by local musicians throughout each day of the event. A portion of the proceeds raised from pint sales will benefit Square Bean Carlisle's Pending Program, which helps the less fortunate in this community receive free food and/or free coffee.

5. Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra: Shoot for the Stars

In January we indulge in some interplanetary musical travel via Gustav Holst's astrology-inspired orchestral suite, The Planets, accompanied by hi-def video, much of it containing NASA footage. In the first half, brilliant virtuoso pieces by Richard Strauss and Samuel Barber.

6. Uprise Women's Retreat

Uprise Women's Retreat will feature guest speakers Sheila Walsh and Candace Payne. Sheila Walsh loves to teach God's Word, making the Bible practical, and sharing her own story of how God met her when she was at her lowest point and lifted her up again. Candace Payne is a viral sensation whose video of trying on a Chewbacca Mask became the most-viewed Facebook Live video to date (175+ million views). Candace has written Laugh It Up: Embrace Freedom and Experience Defiant Joy.

7. 31st Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration

Celebrate the legacy of Dr. King with a march, program, and service. The keynote speaker is the Rev. Brian A. McClinton. The First Baptist Church of Steelton choir will provide music. A reception immediately follows the program.

8. An Evening with Phillip Phillips

9. Murder Mystery: The Mystery of the Sinister Speakeasy

To start off the New Year, the twenties are coming back with a Murder Mystery. You're invited to dress in your finest 1920s attire and attend the grand opening of Guido "Da Godfatha" Paparazzi's newest speakeasy. However, danger may be lurking as word has it someone is out to destroy "da boss." Come join the festivities, be on the lookout, and remember the password...."Wine will flow!"

10. History & Hops: Mt. Tabor AME Church & Cemetery
