Join the Cumberland Valley Rails-to-Trails Council for the 19th annual TrailFest. All events will be held at Shippensburg Station, located at the corner of Fort and Earl Streets in Shippensburg.
You can choose from a Half-Marathon, 5k Race, 10-mile Hike, 25-mile Bike Ride, or just get moving with a 1-Mile Fun Run/ Walk (free for kids from 1 to 100). All events will be run on the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail, which traverses almost 13 miles of completed rail trail between Shippensburg and Newville.
Don't want to to run or ride? Come for the beer garden and food trucks after the races at 10 am and enjoy free live music with Jamie Alan Turner from 11 am to 2 pm.
Your race registration (except for the free one-mile run/walk) includes one free craft beer, craft soda, or wine and a free event t-shirt.
Want a head start? Come to Shippenburg First Fridays on Friday evening, October 3, from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm to pick up your race number and shirt (if ordered). Ship First Fridays occurs at the same location as the TrailFest start and finish. This will also be the last chance to pre-register and save $10 over the same-day price. If you pick up your number on Friday, you do not have to check in on Saturday morning. Just pin on your race number, put your timing chip on your shoe, and proceed directly to the start line a few minutes before your event time.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Cumberland Valley Rail-to-Trails Council (CVRTC).
This event is part of the Cumberland Valley Race Series.
