3 Generations at Brain Vessel

3 Generations at Brain Vessel

Overview
Locations

Art seems to run in our blood here at Brain Vessel. And when it comes to co-owner, Jason Kreiger and his family, there is no shortage of artists. This event will showcase three generations of artists from the Kreiger and Tritt lines.

Featured in the show will be Jason Kreiger's grandfather Jim Tritt (West Fairview), working in pastels; two uncles, Jon Tritt (Marysville) working in acrylics, watercolors and oils, and Jeff Tritt (Philadelphia) working in mixed mediums; Jason's mom Debra Kreiger (Mechanicsburg) working in watercolor and acrylic; and two cousins, Christopher Zeiders (Harrisburg) working in acrylic, and Annemarie Tritt (Philadelphia) working in jewelry.

Jason Kreiger graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design and is the co-owner of Brain Vessel Gallery alongside Douglas Koozer. Illustrator of many of the various Brain Vessel playing cards, Jason works in ink, digital, and various other mediums, producing a myriad of dark and elegant, black and white artwork.

Debra Kreiger studied at York Academy of Arts. She is a signature member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, as well as the newsletter editor. She also belongs to the Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters, the Daily Painters of Pennsylvania, and the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsman.

Jon Tritt teaches watercolor classes and has shown his art at various outdoor art festivals and events across Pennsylvania. When he's not in his studio he is an avid Plein Air painter.

Jeff Tritt, graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia and studied at the Barnes Foundation in Merion, PA and York Academy of Art. Jeff's painting and numerous stained glass pieces can be seen at his frame shop, Fairmont Framing in Philadelphia, PA.

Christopher Zeiders is a self taught artist. He enjoys fishing, photography, and painting.

Annemarie Tritt is a student at Tyler School of Art at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA.

In addition to great artwork to purchase, the family is raffling off a "special collection" to raise funds for the New Cumberland Fire Department in Jim's name. Jim has been involved with the volunteer fire department since 1955 and received the Cumberland County Volunteer Firefighters Associations Hall of Fame Award. Jim is a long-time resident of Lemoyne, New Cumberland, and currently resides in West Fairview.
