Cumberland County 4-H is hosting their annual 2019 Activity Days for all youth ages 8-12 years of age. This year's theme is all about safety and healthy living. On July 11, youth will have the opportunity to navigate a fire safety house, learn self-defense and explore a virtual emergency. On July 18, youth will learn about the amazing body, do some Zumba dancing and grab a healthy snack. The events will take place at the Penn State Extension Office, 310 Allen Rd Carlisle, from 8:30 am until noon both days. This is a great way for all youth to get out of the house and learn something while having fun! The cost is $8 per day. To register please call the Penn State Extension Office at 717-240-6500.
Cumberland County 4-H is open to all youth ages 5-18 and has clubs for all interests including cooking, art, outdoors, science, animals and leadership. Participation from all youth and their families is encouraged.
Administered in Pennsylvania by Penn State Extension, 4-H is a community of more than 6 million young people across America learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. Cumberland County – in addition to the other 66 counties throughout the state – has an Extension Youth Development Educator administering the local 4-H program through non- formal education and outreach.
