Effective 5/31/21, all COVID-19 restrictions related to gatherings, restaurants, and other businesses were lifted. Campus and community scholars will introduce audiences to narratives of African American experiences often left out of Carlisle's more well-known histories. After the panel discussion, audiences are invited to participate in a collaborative community art project designed to highlight these stories.

This program is co-sponsored by The Cumberland County Historical Society. It is part of a series of programs offered in conjunction with the exhibitions Horace Pippin: Racism and War, and Tracing Slavery: Moses Williams and Kara Walker's Harper's Pictorial History of the Civil War (Annotated) on view at The Trout Gallery, Dickinson College.
