See archaeologists unearth prehistory and history at Fort Hunter's Mansion. State archaeologists continue to unearth evidence of 1700s military and settlement life as well as objects from prehistoric Indians. For the eleventh season, Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission staff will search for evidence of the 1750s French and Indian War fort. Weekdays 10 a.m.-3 p.m. plus Fort Hunter Day, Sunday, September 17. The dig will be cancelled if raining.
