In 2022, the Army Heritage Center Foundation continues its webinar program on two Wednesdays each month, avoiding the third Wednesday of each month so as not to compete with the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center's Perspectives in Military History lecture series.

As always, if you miss one of the webinars, you can find it on the Army Heritage Center Foundation (AHCFoundation) YouTube Channel and, if you signed up for the program and missed the webinar, you will receive a link to the webinar/lecture.

Topic
The Cold War Wilderness of Mirrors: Counterintelligence and the U.S. and Soviet Military Liaison Missions 1947–1990 with Aden Magee

Description
Aden Magee will reflect on how, after thirty years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Soviet and U.S. Military Liaison Missions are all but forgotten. He will discuss how their operations were established by a post-WWII Allied occupation forces' agreement, their missions, and how the agreement allowed them relative freedom to travel and collect intelligence throughout East and West Germany from 1947 until 1990. The author will also address Cold War intelligence and counterintelligence in a manner that provides a broad historical perspective and a never-before documented aspect of Cold War history.
