Abandoned in Hell: The Fight For Vietnam's Firebase Kate with Bill Albracht
Description
After five days of North Vietnamese Army human wave attacks and almost constant fire & steel incoming, the word came to the defenders of Firebase Kate that they would not be reinforced and resupply looked doubtful. Critically low on ammo & water and outnumbered three dozen to one, the decision was made to attempt a night break-out through enemy lines. They prayed for a miracle and air support. They got one. This is their story as told by Captain William "Hawk" Albracht - US Army Special Forces (Ret.)
