In 2023, the Army Heritage Center Foundation will continue its webinar program on two Wednesdays each month, avoiding the third Wednesday of each month so as not to compete with the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center's Perspectives in Military History lecture series.

As always, if you miss one of the webinars, you can find it on the Army Heritage Center Foundation (AHCFoundation) YouTube Channel. If you signed up for the program and missed the webinar, you will receive a link to the webinar/lecture.

An Army Afire: How the US Army Confronted the Problem of Race in the Vietnam Era with Dr. Beth Bailey

Dr. Beth Bailey will discuss how the US Army worked to solve its racial crisis in the 1960s (in army terms, "the problem of race") and how Army leaders were surprisingly creative in confronting demands for racial justice. She will highlight how willing Army leaders were to challenge fundamental army principles of discipline, order, hierarchy, and authority and how conservative institutions came to terms with demands for change.
