Lyric tenor CHRISTYAN SEAY will perform in concert at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 21 S. Bedford St., Carlisle on Sunday, March 31, at 3:00 p.m. Active in recital, oratorio, and opera, he has sung extensively throughout Central PA where he resides, as well as at Weill Recital Hall in New York City and venues abroad in Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. In April 2018, he performed in "The Underground Railroad: A Spiritual Journey," featuring operatic soprano, Kathleen Battle. Regionally, he has appeared with the Harrisburg and Lancaster Symphonies and has sung in productions with the Harrisburg, Lancaster, and Philadelphia opera companies. Christyan serves as artistic director of the Capital Area Music Association, a Harrisburg community organization whose emphasis is the music of African-American composers and culture. His concert, which will include classics and new pieces from various musical genres, will be held as a benefit for the St. Barnabas Center for Ministry which operates a summer day camp to nurture the spiritual, educational, social, and physical development of Harrisburg's inner city youth. All proceeds raised will be donated to support the camp's operational expenses. The concert is free.
