Bird Walk: Early Spring Migrants and Waterfowl

Bird Walk: Early Spring Migrants and Waterfowl

Overview
Locations

Join our volunteer guide on a slow-paced hike for all types of birds along Lakeside Trail in the Conewago Day Use Area. Participants will have a chance to view gulls, waterfowl, grebes, and loons resting on the lake. Early arrivals such as Bonaparte's Gulls, Tree Swallows, and lingering waterfowl will be the focus of this springtime birding program. Trail conditions will likely require waterproof boots for comfortable hiking. The hike will last approximately 1.5 hours. Participants should know during our journey searching the park for birds we will walk a little less than a mile total. Beginner, first time, and advanced birders welcome! No prior experience necessary.

For ages 8 and up.

Meet at the main building in the Conewago Day Use area.
