Bird Walk: Farewell to Winter Birds

Bird Walk: Farewell to Winter Birds

Overview
Locations

Join our volunteer guide on a slow-paced hike along Lakeside Trail in the Quaker Race Day Use area. The focus of the walk will be searching for the hearty winter birds that will soon be leaving Pinchot Park. We will welcome early spring breeding birds and transient water birds while enjoying the first sounds of spring. Trail conditions will likely require waterproof boots for comfortable hiking. The hike will last approximately 1.5 hours. Participants should know that we will walk a little more than a mile total. Beginner, first time, and advanced birders welcome! No prior experience necessary.

For ages 8 and up.

Meet at the main building in the Quaker Race Day Use area.
