Join us at the park office for an easy walk highlighting our bluebird trail. Bluebird boxes not only benefit bluebirds but also a variety of other cavity-nesting bird species. We will be joined by our trail monitoring volunteers to discuss how to set up and maintain your very own bluebird boxes, what species can benefit from them, and how to properly protect boxes from predators. This is a free walk, and no registration is required. Waterproof shoes are generally helpful as these trails can be soggy in places. This is also a great opportunity for individuals interested in volunteering in the park to come out and learn about some of the opportunities we have available. Afterward, we may be doing some volunteer work if the weather remains cooperative (this is optional!). Call the park office at 717-567-9255 or check our Facebook page for cancellations.
