Breath Work for Beginners
Taking time out to breathe each day, calms the mind, soothes the nervous system and strengthens the cardiovascular system. In this workshop, you will learn to breathe in a more efficient and functional manner by exploring and engaging the muscles used to breathe. You will learn how just a few minutes a day of breath practice can bring a sense of ease to the mind and body. We will explore the Yogic practice of Pranayama by exploring various forms of breathing. Prana means life energy and Yama means to control or focus. Practicing Pranayama increases our sense of aliveness and connects us to the awareness of our soul. We will dive into learning how breath can be used as healing tool and how breath can be a foundation for building a meditation practice. This workshop is open to all levels. No previous Yoga or breath experience necessary.
