Candlelight Service

The annual Christmas candlelight service will be held in the small red brick interdenominational chapel in the center of Pine Grove Furnace State Park. Bring your flashlight and dress warmly. The church is lit with kerosene lamps. 

Parking is across the street from the church.

This place of worship was constructed in 1870 by ironworks owner Jay Cooke, the famous financier with a history of building churches at properties he owned. The bell was donated by Superintendent Jackson Fuller, who later became a co-owner with Cooke. The letters "ME" carved high above the doors represent Methodist Episcopal.
