Curtis on Tour - "A Celebration of Leonard Bernstein"

Curtis on Tour celebrates the one hundredth birthday of Leonard Bernstein, Curtis alumnus, with a program of American music. The celebration will include works by Bernstein, Copland and Gershwin. Acclaimed Curtis alumni David Shifrin (clarinet) and Dominic Armstrong (tenor) will join the Zorá String Quartet (quartet in residence) and student Jiacheng Xiong (piano) to perform a program as vibrant, bold and diverse as America itself.

Curtis on Tour is the Nina von Maltzahn global-touring initiative of the Curtis Institute of Music. An embodiment of the school’s "learn by doing" philosophy, it offers students real-world, professional touring experience alongside celebrated alumni and faculty.

In celebration of Leonard Bernstein’s 100th birthday, please do not miss this delightful concert featuring music from classical to Broadway!

Special Event: Please join us for a pre-show discussion of Bernstein’s work at 6:30 p.m. in the Studio Theatre on HACC’s Harrisburg Campus.
