Friends of Simpson Public Library February Book Sale

The next Friends of Simpson Public Library Book Sale kicks off Friday evening, February 12, with a special Friends members-only preview from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 114 N York St, Mechanicsburg. Non-members can purchase a membership at the door for first choice of thousands of items for sale. (NOTE: Due to Covid-19 restrictions on gathering size, there is a Preview Night maximum of 25 items per household, regardless of the number of memberships held.)

The doors open to the general public on Saturday, February 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the popular "bag sale" will be held on Sunday, February 14, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Depending on attendance, shopping time maybe be subject to limitations at all sales during the weekend. All transactions during the "bag sale" are at the flat-rate of $10 per level bag. Bags are provided at the sale.

Books are organized by category, including: fiction (which is also organized by author); children's books; biographies; arts; history; sports; cooking; self-help; religion; classics; travel; pets, Sci-Fi and more. In addition, you will find audio books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles and games. Most items are priced at $3 or less. Children's books are $1 or less.

There is no limit on what you can purchase or the number of copies at the Saturday and Sunday sales, although time limitations may apply. Friday's members-only Preview Sale has a 25 item limit per household. Credit cards are accepted.

• Friday, February 12, 6-8 pm: Friends Members-Only Preview Sale (memberships start at $20 and are available for purchase at the door). Limit of 25 items per household.
• Saturday, February 13, 9 am-2 pm: Paperback $1-$2; hardcovers $3-$4; children's 50 cents-$1.
• Sunday, February 14, 1-3 pm: Bag Sale – All sales $10 per level bag; bags provided. Some exceptions apply.
