Join the fun at Garden Harvest, a fall festival for all ages, on October 1 at Kings Gap! The event will be focusing on nature and art with activities including face painting, hayrides, a nature table, pumpkin painting, alpacas, games for prizes, food trucks, a historic cider press, and more. Local artists will be selling their crafts on the mansion lawn and will also be featured in our mansion art gallery, which is managed by the Carlisle Arts Learning Center. Thom Glace, watercolor artist, will be painting live inside the mansion. You can also enjoy live art from the Susquehanna Plein Air Painters on the mansion terrace. Big Sky Quartet, a local folk music band, will be on stage starting at 2:00 PM. The Carlisle Lions Club will be offering free popcorn and free vision tests for children. Other community organizations, such as the Ned Smith Center, PA Council for the Arts, Canine Rescue of Central PA, and Wildlife in Need of PA will also be at the event. For the best experience, please remember to bring cash for food, crafts, and tickets to play games. Parking and admission are FREE.
