Cumberland County's first Heritage Festival Weekend will take place from August 31 to September 3 with various events around the region. The festival will celebrate the heritage and history of our region with residents and visitors.
Thursday, August 31: McLain Festival Reception, 6pm to 8pm @ Two Mile House
- This ticketed fundraising event kicks off the activities of Heritage Festival Weekened as well as the 23rd Annual McLain Celtic Festival scheduled for Saturday, September 2. Click here to purchase tickets.
Friday, September 1: Whiskey Tasting, 5:30pm to 8pm @ Cumberland County Historical Society
- This ticketed even includes whiskey tastings, snack, and entertainment. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or online.
Saturday, September 2: 23rd Annual McLain Celtic Festival, 9am-5pm @ Two Mile House
- Celebrate Cumberland County's Scots-Irish heritage with Highland games, Celtic music, Celtic vendors & more. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the gate or online.
Sunday, September 3: 1st Annual Whiskey Rebellion Festival, 10am to 5pm, Downtown Carlisle
- This family-friendly event features a tour on the history of the Whiskey Rebellion, an18th century historical interpretation in Cumberland County Historical Society's Pocket Park, and a reenactment of Present George Washington's entry into Carlisle. There will be children's craft activities, vendors, and a used book sale. Stop by 1794 The Whiskey Rebellion at Comfort Suites Downtown from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm for whiskey tastings.
