Learn the basics of long form improv comedy. In short, one-hour workshops you will get a taste of the basics of creating a scene on the spot. You’ll learn about the concept of “yes, and,” start exploring how to discover a scene, and get a taste for what it’s like doing comedy purposefully.  Whether you’re interested in pursuing improv or just want to have some fun with friends, this class is for you.
Beginners welcome!

The class will be facilitated by Chris Varner. Varner has studied improv at the Harrisburg Improv Theater, as well as the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater in NYC. You can see Chris perform with his team, The Dilettante’s Ball, on stages around south-Central PA or attend comedy and storytelling nights he hosts through HoOt Traveling Comedy right here in Carlisle.
