We all have our routines. And routines turn into habits. What happens when we move our bodies in this manner, dragging ourselves through the muck and mire of everyday life without much thought? Chances are this is when we come across pain, tension and a disorganization of our natural built-in co-ordination. The Alexander Technique is here to help and is a method of unlearning harmful habits of movement and posture. This workshop will foster a new sense of freedom and ease and encourage you to increase your awareness, turn off the autopilot and do less.

Joe is an AmSAT-certified Alexander Technique teacher who wishes to make movement easier for everyone. After finishing his training in Baltimore, he moved back to the area where he currently freelances with the Alexander Technique, giving workshops at local universities for musicians and dancers. Joe enjoys making music, being a musician by trade and heart, and open water swimming.
