Join Penn State Extension Master Gardeners in Perry County as they welcome George Weigel for a free presentation about gardening “Made for the Shade” on Thursday, September 7, 2017, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, at the Perry County Penn State Extension office, 8 South Carlisle Street, New Bloomfield, PA.

According to George, shade is not a liability in the garden; it’s an opportunity to use some of the plant world’s more demure beauties that prefer life on the shady side. George will discuss different types of shade, offer tips on how to handle each type of shade, and profile some of the best shade plants for Pennsylvania gardens.
