Overview

Enjoy a special model train display with all proceeds contributed to The Camp Hill Challenger Baseball Team. This team provides an opportunity for children and adults with mental and/or physical disabilities to play non-competitive baseball.

The layout includes many buildings, people, cars, a circus, park, zoo, snow mountain, skating rinks with skaters, burning building, merry-go-round and much more. This display is set up in a 24 x 24 two-car garage in the Community Clubhouse and covers 122 square feet in space. There are 3 Lionel trains running on separate tracks. One train is an old Steam Engine pulling a variety of cars. Another one is a Circus Train with a Santa Fe Diesel Engine pulling a variety of cars for the Ringling Bros Barnum Bailey Circus. The third is a Hershey Chocolate train pulled by a Diesel Engine with a variety of Hershey Chocolate cars. All trains are more than 40 years old.

This special project is set up by a husband and wife looking to honor a lost loved one who had autism.  The items displayed come from over 60 years of collecting. Last year, this couple and their neighbors spent about 105 hours building the display and donated $700 to the Camp Hill Challengers Baseball Team.
