The National Civil War Museum proudly presents the NCWM Juneteenth Community Free Day on Saturday, June 18, 2022, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Join us for a day filled with family-friendly activities, all free of charge.

  • Sharon Williams will host an African American Genealogy Workshop
  • Barbara Barksdale will have a presentation on local African American Cemeteries
  • James Haney will read the Emancipation Proclamation as Abraham Lincoln
  • Living history with Thompson's Battery C, live artillery and cannon firing
